Introduction
A wide range of games has the team Role Playing Games (RPG). These are the types of games where they have the task of building a hero or character. New skills as the game progresses, the character gains experience then he or she will use to become more powerful and obtain.
A broad category of gender in video games is the role of electronic games. These games were originally of the traditional role playing games like Dungeons and Dragons. They use both gameplay mechanics and settings found in these games.
Online Role Playing Games are RPGs that allows players to interact with each other in a virtual world. These interactions can be played either as single or multiplayer game. Other Features of online role-playing games are similar to computer role playing games.
Characters
These types of games revolve around the choice of doing one or or more avatars and build their characteristics and experience as the game progresses. These features then represents the skills of the players themselves and how he or she will determine the outcome of the game. Traditionally, a status screen is displayed to represent the attributes of the player. It makes use of numeric values rather than meters, bars and other simple graphic representation of abstract uses video games in general.
Settings
Another feature RPGs special is the scenario of high fantasy fiction. Usually, these are derived from science fiction or space opera themes. There are only a few who have place in a modern setting or historical. However, games like Bloodlines ( "Gothic punk"), Arcanum (steampunk), Darklands (a combination of legend German medieval history), Fallout (post-Europe), and the mountain and the road (without magic or apocalyptic medieval fantasy) are exceptions to these trends.
Missions
A group of characters or a game, players are usually different, unite to perform a "search" or a mission. Challenges and enemies, usually inspired by science fiction, classical mythology, and, more commonly, fantasy fiction, the adventurers face along the way.
Examples of challenges are to defeat the evil boss, rescue a princess, or clearing a dungeon of monsters. To meet and greet their quest, the player may find it necessary to talk to an NPC. Missions may also include the topic to seek adventure, puzzle location (such as opening locked doors by a hidden lever or key), or participate in the dialogues.
A number of games are composed of small missions in sequence and are played as a linear narrative. However, games like Fallout, containing non-linear gameplay and multiple solutions across multiple endings and branching plots. How are the missions approach varies in different creative possibilities. Methods such as violence, bribery, subterfuge, or diplomacy can be used according to the divergent character of his ability.
Evolution
It is difficult to say definitely in the genre that will be led by the rapid development and numerous different titles within the genre. However, developments have been made. One such improvement is the "raid" or search RAID group. Large groups of players (twenty or more) are able to participate in the attack. "
Other online role-playing game improvement is the use of instance dungeons to keep the group off from the rest of the game world. This reduces the amount of data sent to and from the servers, therefore lower late. It also reduces competition. Dungeons can be found in World of Warcraft "sweeps", and all of the Guild Wars zone of combat.
