Dungeons And Dragons Rules Online
Mar/100
What is the best simple RPG system you have ever used?
I’m looking to play an RPG game with with simple easy to learn mechanics.
10 points to the best suggestion (no right or wrong answer with this question, just well thought out ones).
Systems i’ve tried and liked are: TWERPS, Fighting Fantasy and, Tunnels and Trolls.
Systems i’ve tried and didn’t like: GURPS, Dungeons and Dragons, D20.
Hopefully that will help when making suggestions.
Oh and, a weblink to the rules if they are online would be even better!
Oh yeah, humor would be great and TOON looks quite good. Anymore like that?
:0).
The best and simplest RPG I’ve played is Original Dungeons and Dragons, the three booklets, very fun, but deadly, and the rules are a little hard to find now.
The next best one I’ve seen and played is DungeonSquad. It’s 6 pages and great fun, there are also links on the website for expansions to use it for space and zombies, or have more advanced rules. All of it free. My daughters (7yo and 5yo) played with me and we all had a blast. I’ve also played a game or two with older friends, it’s definitely a good time. There are free adventures for it as well.
We just got “Kids, Castles and Caves” from Brave Halfling Publishing which looks simple and we’re going to try out. But that is definitely geared towards children, so it might not be what your looking for it, but it’s the second link below.
Good luck and good gaming!
